When my mother’s physical and mental health began to decline, I was faced with a dilemma. She was a widow living by herself and needed someone to care for her.  I have no siblings and live outside of Washington, DC while she wanted to remain in her apartment in Delray Beach, where she still had many friends.  Someone recommended Mark Leibovich as a care coordinator.  Retaining Mark was the best decision I could have made for my mother.  Mark acted as my eyes and ears to keep me informed about my mother’s medical status, mental status, and when she wanted or needed anything — things I did not necessarily hear from her when we spoke on the phone.  Mark also recommended the perfect care giver for my mother.  Jean arranged doctors’ appointments, drove my mother to them, took care of her personal needs and, most importantly, was a close companion and good friend to my mother during her last few years.  I’m convinced that because of Mark and Jean, my mother had both a longer life and a much better quality of life.
